PIXAR's New Movie! DAY OF THE DEAD?

Dia De Los Muertos -- the Mexican holiday (which translates to Day of the Dead) that celebrates and honors the deceased -- is getting the Pixar treatment. At CinemaCon on Tuesday, the animation giant announced "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich will take on the project as a follow-up to his billion-dollar grossing Oscar winner. Little else is known about the film except its arrival time: "Dia De Los Muertos" (working title) is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015. SOURCE

"Conan the Barbarian" 2011 - Your thoughts? + MORE Conan!

I kinda like it. It could have been WAY cooler, but it really ain't bad. What did YOU think? Looking at RottenTomatoes makes me feel like I'm the only one that liked it, but really it had a decent origin story, Jason Momoa was a pretty good Conan. It would have been cool to see a darker, grittier version, but still, not horrible. They should use my quote. "Not horrible." or "It could have been WAY cooler." ;o}

Resident Evil Creator & SkyRim Developer on New Survival Horror Game!

Shinji Mikami, the creative mastermind behind the Resident Evil series and collaborator with Suda51 on Shadows of the Damned and the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw is working on a brand spanking new survival horror title — that’s right, I saidsurvival horror — codenamed Zwei. It was just unveiled in the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, which also revealed that Mikami’s Tango Gameworks studio will be handling development of the title. Mikami has said in the past that he would only direct one final project after Shadows of the Damned, so there’s a very good chance this could be it. Head past the break for more!
Mikami will be teaming up with Skyrim dev Bethesda Softworks on the title that’s currently aiming at a painfully wide 2013 release window.
Zwei might not be the final title, but it could give us important clues as to what this game could be about. A quick perusal of the internet has taught me it means two in German, is the name of a Japanese band and, well, that’s about it. If you have an idea of what the monicker could mean, let us know in the comments below. I’d also like to know what you’d like to see from what could very well be Mikami’s last project and on a scale of 1 to hot damn, where is your excitement ranking right about now?

Stephen King's "Eyes of the Dragon" adapted for TV by SYFY!

 AWESOME!!! Related to the Dark Tower, sorta. One of my favorite books when I was young. Need to read it again, but super awesome news!!

Stephen King’s fantasy novel Eyes of the Dragon could at last become a movie or miniseries.
The 1987 bestseller is being developed by Syfy as a longform project, along with a scripted drama series based on the comic Grey Legion and two high-concept movie projects. The network is set to announce all the titles later today at its upfront presentation in New York City.
Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica) and Jeff Vintar (I, Robot) will pen the Dragon script, with Taylor and Bill Haber as executive producers.
Dragon is a rarity among King’s early works: A stand-alone novel that hasn’t been previously adapted into a live-action feature. In fact, among King’s pre-1990 books that were first published under his own name, only his fantasy titles (Eyes of the Dragon, The Talisman and the Dark Tower books) haven’t yet been adapted, though all have been in development at one point or another. And given HBO’s success with its fantasy hit Game of Thrones, the timing for Dragoncouldn’t be better.

ZOMBIE ATTACK HOODIE! And more awesome Zombie apparel from ThinkGEEK!

Only You Can Prevent the Zombie Apocalypse We live in dangerous times. There are all sorts of dangers - biological, chemical, social. If one stupid human makes one stupid mistake, we could have the apocalypse on our hands in mere days. If you miss the signs, if you have your head in the sand, if you just can't bring yourself to shoot Grandma when she's clearly infected with the virus, then YOU have caused the modern day forest fire that is the zombie apocalypse. Be prepared, zombie watchers. The time will come and you will be responsible for saving or damning the world. Zombie Protest Congratulations! We're glad you're ready to fight for zombie rights. This article outlines some of the steps involved and the associated pitfalls to avoid when planning a successful zombie gathering. Leadership. As you know, it is vital that some of the living remain in positions of leadership in the organization to provide the necessary motivation and thought-process behind running a large organization. Although, for consistency, you probably want your highest official to be a zombie in order to have him speak incoherently at corporate meetings and drool convincingly in discussions with politicians. However, leadership at the event should be an intelligent human, sympathetic to zombie rights. As the event coordinator, this human can provide guidance via a megaphone and also serves as a rallying point around which zombies will gather. Occasionally this "gathering" leads to "dismemberment" so you want to ensure that your event coordinator is expendable. This position fits nicely for zombie-rights activists hoping to transition to the less-demanding, zombie lifestyle. Attendance. You might have a whole legion of supporters, but it's important to mobilize your zombie protesters so that they show up on the day of the event. Plan ahead so that folks can put it on their calendars. You can notify the mindless via your MySpace or Facebook account. Pass out leaflets to ensure the interested are notified. We've found that promising that there will be beer and brains brings the college-aged zombies out en masse in particular. Location. We recommend a popular location with high-visibility for maximum exposure to the uninitiated. Although some organizations prefer the march, we find it easier to choose a specific place to protest. Shambling does not lend itself to marching, and zombies tend to get distracted more easily while in motion. Check with your local city hall to find out if you need a permit to gather at the location you've chosen. Remember that some of your supporters undoubtedly have physical impairments, so ensure your site is fully accessible. Coverage. It's important to get your event covered by the media so that your reach is greater than those present at the event. After all, they all may have been eaten, even the well-intentioned, amenable-to-Zombie-rights ones (sometimes they're the tastiest). Documentary film makers, such as George A. Romero, are an indispensable resource in getting the word out. Make use of them as whenever possible. "Zombies Were People Too" on a sandwich-board-clad zombie in black, blood red, and rotting-flesh green on a military green, 100% cotton t-shirt.
